If you’ve ever noticed Kendall Jenner’s affinity for duster coats or Gigi Hadid’s penchant for mirrored sunglasses, you can thank Monica Rose. The L.A.-based stylist has been crafting the trends you’ll low-key be obsessed with a few months’ after spotting them on one of the many celebrities on her roster. (Her other clients include Chrissy Teigen, Kaia Gerber, and Chanel Iman — so, yes, you know her work.) So, when Rose lists out what she considers the definitive spring/summer essentials for 2017, you take notes.

That’s exactly what the group gathered at Reebok Classics ’ Coachella event did, right before the festival kicked off in Indio, California. When first asked about what she considers “fashion essentials,” she began listing off items both she and her clients — or “girls,” as she calls them — can’t get enough off. Festival style will come and go, but these staples will get us through the season. “Coachella is only three days, guys” she kindly reminded the audience. So, if you’re looking for what to fringe next, you’ll want to check elsewhere. If you want to know the nine buys Rose is eyeing for herself and the very stylish squad she styles, however, the ahead list has got you covered. And if you pay close attention to her Instagram, well, odds are you already know about some of them.

Travel and expenses for the author were provided by Reebok for the purpose of writing this story.

A Classic Leather Sneaker
First up (and fitting for the event) Rose points to Gigi Hadid’s favorite sneaker, Reebok’s Classic Leather, which she was introduced her by her client, who happens to be the face of the brand. “I’m not kidding when I say these shoes are dope, comfortable, and cool,” she said of the style.

Reebok Classic Leather, $69.99, available at Reebok.

Fisherman Hats
“I remember doing an airport look for Kendall with a Saint Laurent [Greek] fisherman hat, but you can buy them vintage for $5,” she said.

Janessa Leone Mattie Greek Fisherman Cap, $202, available at Revolve.

Statement Earrings
“I was never really an earring girl — I always wore hoops — but a good, big statement earring is good to have for the summer,” Rose said. “I just styled Chrissy Teigen in a blazer, wide-leg pants and a chandelier earring — and it was all about the earring. Invest in a really good statement earring.”

Area Swarosvki Crystal Rhinestone Oversized Hoop Earrings, $285, available at Area.

Re/Done x Hanes T-shirts
“I have a whole rack of them in my studio,” she said, partly because her clients are always asking for them. Rose cuts and customizes them for her clients, but the stylist herself prefers to keep them intact for a “half-tuck” look.

Re/Done The 1960s Slim Tee, $78, available at Re/Done.

Belts
Rose herself was wearing Gucci’s classic golden logo belt (“I know it’s a little played out and everyone’s wearing it,” she admitted), but she spoke about how brands like Prada are making logo-free, stripped-down belts that look like they’re from a surplus store — which means you don’t necessarily have to shop at Prada to cop the style. “It gives you the effect of looking cool without trying too hard,” she explained.

Prada Belt, $335, available at Prada.

Scarves
She pointed to herself and all the members of her posse, who had scarves tied around their neck: “Sometimes my outfit is so boring, and I’ll put a cool scarf on and feel so cool,” Rose said. “You can turn it around and wear it as a choker, knot it, tuck it, or add a necklace.”

Silk Laundry Black Galaxy Print Scarf, $33.83, available at Silk Laundry.

Round Sunglasses
When the weather turns warm and sunny, sunglasses are an obvious buy — but as far as silhouettes go, you’ll find Rose and her “girls” in round frames. “They just make everything look cool."

Krewe St. Louis in Cypress, $255, available at Krewe.

Dylanlex Jewelry
You’ve likely seen many of Rose’s clients wearing Dylanex at Coachella — and there’s a reason why. “[The designer is] one of my very good friends. I met her before she started her brand — and I told her, ‘Why aren’t you selling these?’” Rose likes them for layering, especially now that the brand started making chokers.

Dylanlex Gala Necklace, $88, available at Dylanlex.

Pool Slides
“Slides are good, easy — they’re not just pool slippers anymore.” Indeed.

Urban Outfitters Holographic Pool Slide, $15, available at Urban Outfitters.
