The wild ride of Pretty Little Liars is almost up, as the premiere of the final half-season 7B is imminent. The ABC Family-turned-Freeform drama has had more twists, turns, and unexpected murders than nearly every other show on television. Over seven years, our titular Liars — Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale), Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson), and Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell) — have been tortured, stalked, and kidnapped by a malevolent, anonymous figure known as "A." Although the villain seems to be omniscient, their identity is made up of multiple people and minions.
After countless insane plots, it's easy to forget every single person who has donned "A's" hood or attacked the liars. Thankfully, we've assembled every person who's been an "A" or helped the plotting figure terrorize the Liars. This is especially necessary since season 7B will (hopefully) unmask PLL's "Uber A," who's the true puppet master of this crazy game.

Mona Vanderwaal (Janel Parrish)
It’s revealed in the season 2 finale “UnmAsked” that Mona isn’t just Hanna’s best friend. She’s also the very first “A” of Pretty Little Liars. She’s hospitalized at Radley Sanitarium until she fakes her death in season 5 with the help of the new “A.” Unfortunately for Mona, she’s actually kidnapped by “A” and held captive in the dollhouse — it’s not like anyone was looking for her.
Toby Cavanaugh (Keegan Allen)
Toby isn’t a top “A” like Mona. Instead he was a member of the “A Team,” as revealed in season 3, and helped Mona with her devious plans. Toby claims he only joined “A” as a way to keep Spencer safe. Despite this questionable justification, the Liar got back together with Toby in finale “A DAngerous Game” until their last breakup (so far).
Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario)
Following the Toby bombshell, it seemed as though Mona had also recruited Spencer to the “A Team” of minions. But, the intelligent young woman was actually a double agent and was helping her fellow Liars.
Jenna Marshall (Tammin Sursok)
Alison DiLaurentis’s former rival is another person conspiring against the Liars after a scheme of Ali’s left Jenna blind.
While she preferred black shades over a black hoodie, she's definitely "A" adjacent in the sense that she wants harm to come to the Liars.
Sara Harvey (Dre Davis)
Sara worked closely with the second “A,” who took over for Mona. It’s revealed in the season 6A finale “Game Over, Charles,” that Sara served as both The Black Widow and Red Coat throughout PLL.
And speaking of that second "A..."
Charlotte DiLaurentis, AKA CeCe Drake (Vanessa Ray)
“Game Over, Charles” confirms Charlotte is our second “A,” meaning she’s the one who trapped the Liars and Mona in the dollhouse. Although we are originally led to believe transgender Charlotte is Ali’s sister, it’s eventually revealed the villain is her cousin.
Charlotte is the biological child of Mary Drake, the twin sister of Jessica DiLaurentis. With Mary in Radley Sanitarium, she was adopted by Jessica and her husband Kenneth. After a misconstrued incident with baby Ali, little Charlotte was sent to Radley like her biological mother.
Although CeCe/Charlotte loved her sister-cousin Ali, she tormented the Liars because they were happy Ali was “gone.” She then continued to wreak havoc as a way to get Ali’s attention.
Ezra Fitz (Ian Harding)
Fans were worried Ezra was “A” adjacent after countless shady hints something was up with Aria’s main squeeze. But, “Free Fall” confirms once and for all the teacher isn’t actually an “A” or even on the “A Team.”
Instead, Ezra was surveilling the Liars to write a tell-all true crime novel about Ali’s disappearance, since that’s not creepy or anything. We can all celebrate knowing Ezra’s never donned a hood, and then cry knowing his motives weren't always pure either.
