Zendaya's cornered more markets in her short 20 years on the planet than most of us will in our lifetime. Her accolades include actress, activist, singer, dancer, and fashion designer, but we think she should add beauty blogger to her C.V., too.
She clued us in on her penchant for doing her own red carpet makeup (not exactly a common trait amongst A-listers) last year, and a few months later she teamed up with CoverGirl's James Charles to film a killer makeup tutorial. Then, just last month she gifted her mother the best beauty blessing of all: a makeover that came complete with Zendaya's signature bold brows.
We've also learned, over countless red carpet appearances, that she's always down to try a daring trend. Remember her David Bowie-inspired cut from the 2015 Grammys? Or her major foray into monochromatic makeup last year? Clearly, the star isn't afraid to go bold and brazen with her look. But, like most stars, she definitely has a few signature looks that she favors.
Ahead, we've broken down five beauty trends Zendaya always comes back to — and always look amazing.

1. Contoured Lips
Zendaya loves a good cheekbone contour just as much as the next A-lister, but she takes it a step further, too. Enter: lip contouring. This method employs the same shading principles as traditional face contouring to enhance the look of the lips.

Gently trace the outline of your lips in your favorite liner, then layer a lighter shade in the center of your top and bottom lips, lightly smudging the two shades together as you go. Using two different colors helps highlight the center of your lips, giving them a fuller appearance.

2. Monochromatic Makeup
Last year celeb makeup artist Patrick Ta let us in on a little secret: "Being able to tie colors into your makeup makes it look more complete," he said on the monochromatic makeup trend. Clearly Zendaya got the memo because the star has rocked the look on the red carpet countless times this year. Here, she matched her eyeshadow to her dress.

Mono makeup has other interpretations, too. Zendaya often coordinates her eyes, lips, and cheeks to each other. The result? A happy marriage between polished and edgy.

3. Retro Hair
Although Zendaya might fall back on modern waves or sleek hair in a pinch, she has been known to pull serious inspiration from beauty looks of the past. Case in point: This David Bowie-inspired mullet that the star rocked at the 2015 Grammy's.

This sleek hairstyle is reminiscent of a '20s-era finger wave and we're totally digging it — especially when paired with a sooty, smoky eye.

4. Warm-Toned Eyeshadow
There's no denying that Zendaya is a beauty chameleon, but when it comes to her eye color shades, the star sticks with warm hues. It makes sense, since the warmth, whether it's a wash of shimmery bronze shadow or a touch of matte mocha, beautifully complements her undertones.

When it comes to eyeshadows, there really are no rules. Grab your favorite warm-toned palette and go to town.

5. Bold Brows
Would you even recognize Zendaya without her bold brows? We sure as hell wouldn't. Since she cemented chiseled arches into her beauty routine, the look has become somewhat of calling card for the star.

An eyebrow pomade and an angled brush will help you achieve the same crisp lines that Zendaya does. Simply dip the brush into your pomade of choice (we love this one) and lightly feather hair-like strokes into your arches. Then clean everything up with some concealer (preferably in a hue one shade lighter than your skin tone) around your arches to make them stand out even more.
