With only 12 delegates to give out, tonight’s Virgin Islands caucus won’t give either Democratic candidate a deal-breaking win. But with less than two months until the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, both front-runner Hillary Clinton and rival Bernie Sanders are gearing up for the final sprint.
Not counting superdelegates, Clinton is still just over 600 delegates away from clinching the nomination, with 1,769. Sanders trails her by just over 200, with 1,501 delegates allotted to him.
The candidates are inching closer to the finish line this weekend, with Puerto Rico and its 67 delegates up for grabs this Sunday. But the big game changer will likely be on Tuesday, when California, Montana, New Mexico, and New Jersey will give out 758 delegates between them.
We'll be updating here with the expected winners as it becomes clear. Ahead, catch up on the results from contests held so far. And be sure to check back to see which candidate emerges the winner of the day.
